Recent Topics
・In cooperation with the Embassy of Japan, the 40th anniversary of the Eastern Policy in 2022 was seen as an opportunity to apply for accreditation as a "40th Anniversary of the Eastern Policy" project and support the 40th anniversary of the Eastern Policy with a number of Japanese companies.
・The "Look East Policy 40th Anniversary Seminar" co-hosted by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, the "Investment Promotion Seminar" co-hosted by the Investment Development Authority, the "Business Matching" co-hosted by FMM, the largest local manufacturing organization, the "Job Interviews" between local science and engineering students and JACTIM member companies, the "Penang Investment 50th Anniversary and "Penang Investment 50th Anniversary Commemorative Event" co-hosted by the U.S. and German chambers.
Policy Advocacy
・Based on opinion hearings, emergency questionnaires, and committee discussions, we conducted active liaison activities with key members of each government, also in cooperation with the Japanese Embassy.
・18 engagement sessions/meetings with governments in 2022 (Ministry of International Trade and Industry: 12 meetings, Ministry of Health: 2 meetings, Ministry of Human Resources: 4 meetings). In addition, 8 meetings with the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, American Chamber of Commerce, and other commercial organizations.
・In particular, he requested that the investment environment be improved, and that the workforce be secured and human resources be trained.
