Large commercial vehicles are not allowed to enter KL city center in the morning and evening = Road Traffic Department

【Kuala Lumpur】 The Road Transport Department announced on the 2nd that heavy commercial vehicles carrying more than 7,500kg were not permitted from using the main roads in KL city center from 6:30am to 9:30am every morning, and 4:30pm to 7:30pm every evening.
According to the RTD, lorries were not allowed into KL main roads a long time ago. However, from April 1st, when Covid-19 started shifting into the endemic stage, more and more heavy vehicles started ignoring this regulation, resulting in a visible increase in the number of vehicles on the road. This has worsen the city's traffic congestion situation significantly. 
RTD has set in place a fine of RM 300 for those who do not obey this rule or RM 300 - RM 2,000 for those who were prosecuted and found guilty. There will also be signages on the road leading into the city center of the said ban. 
The ban in place during morning peak hours covers ▽all routes leading to KLCC ▽ Taman Wahyu on Jalan Kuching into city center ▽ Tar College at Jalan Genting Klang until city center ▽Taman Midah at Jalan Cheras until city center.
For evening peak hours coverage consists of ▽Jalan Kepong (all sections) ▽Jalan Ipoh's Jalan Kepong Roundabout, Batu Caves area ▽ Karak highway (all sections) ▽ Jalan Kampung Bandar  Dalam on Jalan Gombak (closeby KL city) ▽ Jalan Genting Kland (all sections) ▽ Jalan Cheras from Jalan Pudu to Jalan Tenteram.
