- Started as an advertising agency ART SQUARE GROUP in 1994, and then diversified into publishing. In 2001, we established GEM PAK STARZ, a graphic novel publishing division, and by 2013 we had produced over 250 publications in various genres. In November 2015, the company name was changed to KADOKAWA GEMPAK STARZ SDN BHD in partnership with KADOKAWA Co., Ltd., a leading entertainment content provider in Japan. KADOKAWA's more than 70 years of experience and know-how have helped us grow into a wide range of media companies with a diverse multi-platform portfolio that includes animations, games, novels, magazines and other digital and multimedia content in addition to comics.
